The rival team led by nominated MP Maina Kamanda has been traversing the nation, usually on weekends, attacking and questioning his leadership.
Speaking at AIPCA Church in Riruta Satellite, Nairobi on Sunday, the DP termed the group a formation that is out to paralyse his 2022 presidential plans.
He noted that the group of lawmakers is doing the same under the camouflage of uniting Kenyans.
“There is a group loitering around the country called “Operation Stop Ruto” and preaching the anti-Ruto gospel. I am telling them to relax since 2022 is far,” he was quoted by reporters.
He questioned the team for talking tough on corruption, accusing them of insincerity, observing that they should be silent, considering that they are allied to the government.
According to the DP, the leaders should be silent and let the issue be handled by the party’s top leadership rather than go around making unfounded claims.
“How can you be a member of Jubilee and accuse the government of corruption? Who is the leader of Jubilee other than the President and I?
“It would be understandable if you were in opposition and making such claims. They have now joined the opposition which used to accuse us of stealing Eurobond and monies from Afya House,” he added. [advanced_iframe src=”//www.tinywebgallery.com/blog/advanced-iframe” width=”100%” height=”600″]
However, at the same time, leaders who accompanied the DP insisted that there is no rift in Jubilee.
