THE ROLE

1. Supporting Performance Management and Goal Setting for Each Department (30%)

  1. Lead goal setting and review workshops
  2. Collect, manage and audit performance data
  3. Conduct all performance management software administrative duties
  4. Lead monthly 1-1s and annual Performance Appraisal process
  5. Identify and manage any performance issues 

2. Leading the staff development and learning programme for all staff (30%)

  1. Identify learning needs and solutions for each department
  2. Develop relevant training content and outlines
  3. Conduct quality trainings
  4. Empower mangers to deliver quality trainings
  5. Oversee e-learning activities and provide technical assistance
  6. Develop and oversee stretch tasks for high performers 

3. Managing Hiring Pipeline and supporting VV Managers to make great hires incl. establishing Internship/Young Professional Programme (20%)

  1. Advertise, interview and hire for all vacancies
  2. Conduct on-boarding process with all new starters
  3. Lead succession planning process with managers
  4. Develop formal attachment, internship and fellowship programmes 

4. Leading Employee Engagement Efforts and Organizational Improvement Initiatives (10%)

  1. Design and conduct staff engagement surveys
  2. Design and implement staff engagement trials
  3. Conduct feedback meetings and focus group discussions
  4. Resolve any staff conflict issues 

5. Contribute to Strategic Planning through Succession Planning Reviews, Annual Goal Setting (10%)

  1. Create department operations calendar annually
  2. Lead team-related planning meetings with departmental heads
  3. Review department goals and align with VVF’s mission & values

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma or higher in relevant subject although work experience will be considered instead of formal qualifications
  • Previous experience leading and managing teams
  • Previous experience working in HR, capacity development, staff development, people operations or training
